Meet your host in Victoria, Australia
Meet your Australian host, Cyndi!
Cyndi lives at Red Hill on the gorgeous Mornington Peninsula about an hour from Melbourne CBD. She’s surrounded by native bushland and walking trails and only minutes to beautiful beaches. Wineries and fresh produce abound and each season is special.
She’s a strategic designer who works with others to deeply understand what’s going on for humans in systems and services and to co-design better ways of delivering experience. She loves travel (of course!) and also day hikes, reading, talking about books and ideas, cooking, experiencing new foods and cultures, she’s also learning to sail and loves yin yoga.
Her home is a quirky A Frame house with a lot of character and a backyard that borders a native forest area. She has a spare room and bathroom and you would share kitchen and living areas.
Some of Australia’s best wine is made in the area, so wineries are a must when visiting. There are gorgeous rolling hills, great wine, and many of the local wineries have award winning restaurants too.
If you’re a hiker, there are so many wonderful walks down on the Peninsula, some with sea views and others though native bushland.
Whether you like rambling among rock pools and swimming with a gentle breeze, stand up paddle boarding, sailing or surfing the big waves, the Peninsula has it all. There’s even great truffle and mushroom hunting in the area. Autumn and early winter sees mushrooms and truffles growing on the Peninsula.
Oh and if you’re into hot springs, the peninsula is home to two world class hot springs experiences.
Who’s ready to head out for an Australian adventure? I’ll warn you it might be the most incredible experience of your life. Be sure to connect with Cyndi in the HerHouse App during your time down under!
