Hi- I’m Tess! 👋
While I was solo backpacking through Australia I found that staying with locals is not only cost-efficient, it helped me see life through their eyes. I got to see where they went to church, where their kids went to school, and got invited to more family dinners than I can count!
But I continued to wish there was an easier way to find safe local women who I could stay with while abroad.
So after years of dreaming and building, we were able to build an app that helps connect solo women with background checked female hosts across the world.
Solo traveling was a season full of growth, healing, and inspiration for me, and it’s my mission to help more women have life changing solo adventures of their own.
We’ve designed HerHouse with you in mind. I know how terrifying yet exiting it is to solo travel, and I understand that you not only need connections while abroad- you need a community of women who “get it.”
We’ve had HerHousers travel across the world, stay with each other, and make memories they will cherish for the rest of their lives.
