Meet your Host in Saskatchewan, CANADA.

Winning Ways Ranch is owned and operated by Kelly Friedrich, near the small city of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, CANADA. Kelly operates the ranch by herself, with the wonderful assistance of her volunteer visitors, who come from all over the world. She has been hosting folks for over 2 decades and hopes to continue to meet new friends through her association with HerHouse.

Kelly offers her visitors occasions to learn and experience adventures they would not have elsewhere. Unique opportunities such as watching a calf being born, petting a bison or the northern lights dancing overhead are some of the events that visitors to Winning Ways have experienced.

The ranch is home to a small cattle herd, a bison, various horses, ponies and even a donkey. Additionally, there are a few sheep and other smaller animals. Kelly is an enthusiastic rider who loves to teach about horses or allow the horses to teach humans more about themselves.

On weekends, she takes folks on lessons on the trail through the surrounding Boreal Forest. For more information on what is available at Winning Ways please visit the website winningways.ca

Kelly would like to invite you to visit Winning Ways for more than 3 days! In addition, if you need a safe place to stay until you can make further arrangements, we can certainly offer that. In fact, on several occasions, Winning Ways HAS hosted visitors who found themselves in difficulty and needed a safe place to stay.

Since reaching Winning Ways may take some logistical organization, it is suggested that you plan to spend several weeks at the ranch. Most of our visitors stay for a month. Visitors stay in the main house during the winter, and during the summer there are additional bedrooms available in the bunkhouse.

All those who visit at Winning Ways join in the preparation of meals or the clean up and we all sit down as a “family” to eat. We serve meat but can accommodate vegetarians. Kelly usually eats close to a gluten free diet, and so we can accommodate that as well.

Winning Ways has talented visitors and one of them created this sign to welcome visitors into the Ranch yard.

If your bucket list includes visiting the Boreal Forest and experiencing ranching first-hand, then put Winning Ways on your destination map. You’re always welcome at Winning Ways.
