If you’ve ever been a solo traveler, you probably know how amazing it is to encounter kind hospitable people on your journey.

We welcome you to pay it forward by hosting background checked members with HerHouse!

Hosting for HerHouse is FREE and voluntary.

As a background checked Host for HerHouse you can:

✔️Make friends from all over the world

✔️Pay it forward by being a safe place to stay for solo women travelers

✔️Share your city and favorite spots

✔️Have fun adventures by exploring your own backyard with your guests

✔️Earn HerHouse Points when you get reviews which turn into free memberships that you can use, gift, or donate.

✔️Get a 25% discount for a traveling membership of your choice

What you should know about hosting:

💚You do not have to host every guest who requests to stay with you. If you are unavailable or uncomfortable for any reason you can decline hosting.

💚You will be receiving request notifications via text and email. Please respond to the request in the "messages" tab.

💚You can earn points for hosting HerHouse guests and getting great reviews.

💚Once you receive 100 points you get a free year membership that you can use, give away, or opt to donate the $100 to our charity of choice: The Exodus Road.

How to become a

Herhouse Host: 

  1. Download the HerHouse app through Apple or Google Play

  1. Complete the host application on the “Memberships” tab

  2. Complete your free background check in the app

Host Travelers. Earn Points.

When you get great reviews from guests, you will earn HerHouse Points. Once you receive 100 points you will earn a free year membership to HerHouse. You can do 3 things with this free membership:

  • Apply 1 free year to your account

    Once you receive 100 points you can apply the 1 free year membership to your account!

  • Gift Membership to a sister

    Each Christmas we hold a HerHouse Scholarship. For each membership that our community gifts we will give them away to sisters who cannot afford a membership.

  • Donate Membership

    We already donate 5% of the HerHouse memberships to The Exodus Road. If you would like to donate your membership we will add $100 to the month's contribution to this extraordinary non-profit.

How To Earn HerHouse points

  • Get Great Safety Ratings

    5 Points Per 5 Star Rating

    When you provide a safe place for travelers to stay and give them a great local experience, you will receive five star reviews.

  • Length of Stay

    1 Point Per Night

    Although we limit the homestay requests to 3 nights max, you are welcome to offer your guest to stay with you longer if you have availability. You will earn one point per night the traveler stays with you.

  • Everyone Earns

    You earn HerHouse Points every time you receive a review in the HerHouse app. You can earn when you meet up with another member for a beach day or tour of your city, or when a host reviews you too.

How Are HerHouse Points Calculated?

Points are calculated through our reviews system in the HerHouse App. This helps us keep all members accountable in keeping safety and kindness a top priority for our community.
